M0TRT has very recently launched a wonderful website that shows the locations of POTA (and WWFF or SOTA) activators on a map. The location of the activator is shown with a color-coded pin, designating what band they are on. Clicking on the pin shows additional information about the park and the station, such as mode and frequency. The user interface is smooth, and easy to navigate. Compatibility with mobile browsers seemed to work well, making it a powerful tool to use when in the field activating and looking for Park to Park QSO’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tool also has various filters for bands, modes, and age of spots. It also shows a band tables with all the POTA stations in order of their frequency on the band, making hunting them easier to do than using the POTA.app spot page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along with logging software like HamRS or PoLo, Field Spotter is a great addition to the available data acquisition tools for doing POTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
