Many of our members are also active with local clubs, and MIRATS supports and attends many local club events a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our network of members across the state lets MIRATS create a bridge between local clubs and hams from from other areas to bolster participation at local events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hang out on Discord, but also in real life. We do POTA roves, and run stations with local clubs for contests and field days. We&#8217;ve been known to show up at a park and operate POTA for a day, just on a whim. We also operate during the MI QSO Party, and placed 3rd in 2024.<br><br>MIRATS is open to young or old, new or seasoned, ham radio operators. Even unlicensed individuals who are interested in additional information and guidance on how to get licensed are welcome.
